Finally, the crusher run gravel arrives: here are the first 20 tons of the 60 tons that will be delivered in three truck loads (about 36 cubic yards altogether). |

Dale Everhart returns with his small backhoe to spread the gravel over the driveway (the dump truck is too big to maneuver very far into the driveway, so the services of a small backhoe are required). |

The driveway is complete. We re-seed the lawn areas damaged by the gravel delivery, and place some rocks around the drainage pipe discharge area. Flexible reflectors are reluctantly placed in the pressure-treated curb to keep visiting vehicles off the curb and, especially, off the shallow sewer pipe. |
